Cutting green house emissions necessary for further development?

There is going to be a climate change summit in South Africa and people are going to share their opinion. Here is the news.

Greenpeace has ambitious plans for how South Africa, which hosts international climate change talks this year, can cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Greenpeace experts told reporters Wednesday the key for developing countries like South Africa will be getting cash and clean technology from industrialized countries. The questions of how much money and under what terms technology will be handed over will be major issues for debate at U.N. climate talks in Durban in November.A Greenpeace report released Wednesday says that with more efficient equipment and more reliance on wind and other renewable sources of energy, South Africa can reduce emissions from 349 million tons in 2007 to 123 million in 2050, a drop of 64 percent.
