  • I have tried soo many custom ROMs for my Android Samsung Y 5360-GT and one thing I have noted that Google+ never runs in custom ROMs, because the supporting application "Google settings" doesn't get installed. This problem I have noticed in almost 6-7 famous ROMs for my device.

But when I move to stock ROM, the Google+ application works as Google settings gets installed while Google playstore gets updated.
I hate stock ROM, and I love Google+. Is there any possible way to install "Google settings" in custom ROM ?

I have even tried installing latest playstore signed package, unfortunately it doesn't get installed. It only works when I simply move in system files.

So inshort, somebody help me with "Google settings" in custom ROM, so I can run Google+ in Custom ROM.

Assuming you are using custom ROM on latest build 4.2+. Try flashing latest gApps.

    This certainly won't work.
My ROM is 2.3.6 build, with ported ICS status greper & other addons.
Can I simply push the "Google settings" inside the /system/app ?
(Last time I did same & it didn't worked)

Yes, you can do this. push apk and set permission to rw-r--r-- . If it is compatible it should work.
