Singapore based Creative Technology Ltd. specializes in the design & manufacturing of digitized sound and video boards and other digital products. One of its most successful products is the Sound Blaster series that has been recognized worldwide in the PC audio market. Creative has launched its latest product the 'Sound Blaster Roar' in India with an exclusive collaboration with Amazon. Sold globally at $150, the official price for the Blaster Roar in India is Rs. 14,999. The Sound Blaster Roar is said to be a masterpiece of audio innovation. Featuring 2 high performance amplifiers and 5 speaker drivers (which includes a built-in active subwoofer for thumping bass), the Roar boasts of an exceptional audio performance.
Powered by a 6000mAh Li-ion battery that is said to last up to 8 hours, the Sound Blaster Roar comes with a microSD card port and a USB 2.0 port. Among other features worth mentioning are the AAC & aptX (advanced HD codecs) for high-quality audio, NFC, MP3 player, voice recorder, speakerphone, Bedtime listening mode, USB Sound Blaster, siren, and Link Security to configure Bluetooth for different usage scenarios. The Roar speakers have won the international 2014 Red Dot Award for its amalgamation of precise audio engineering and minimalist design.
The Sound Blaster Roar’s TeraBass is an intelligent feature that provides for bass boost at a crowded night event or in-general any less-than-ideal acoustic environment. For lesser energy wastage and better audio quality, the Creative folks have given the speakers a rigid monocoque endo-skeletal chassis that has fewer internal components that vibrate individually.
