Thats Great googling. Answer is right.

Shalini right now I am not able to recall the wicketkeeper name, thats why I have not posted this as a question... that was just for knowledge (I thought that you will find it, and once I will see the answer I will diffenately recall it. 😁)

Anyways I will search it at home (In office cricket related sites are blocked) and will try to post the answer...

@ ES / @ Shalini - David Shephard is right answer. Everyone has right to post the questions. More information on 111...

Perhaps Shephard's most famous quirk was his habit of lifting one foot off the ground whenever the score reached 111, or multiples thereof, they being regarded as unlucky by Shepherd in a ritual dating back to his childhood cricket team days. The number 111 is known as the "Nelson", and is considered unlucky towards the Batsman. This superstition has been the major focus of many pieces of sporting artwork, including a statue dedicated to him near Lords' Cricket Ground in London.

    Ans how many catches?
  • Anil Jain

    Yes CB you are correct.

But i have a doubt the number of catches by Dravid are 183 are these inclusive of the catches as a keeper too?

If all keepers are considered , who is no.1 i dont know this answer ?
  • Anil Jain
    Anil Jain
Rahul Dravid holds the record with 184 catches. I doubt that Rahul played any test match as wicketkeeper batsman. Does he, if yes then I do not have records for that .. 😁

Record of most number of dismissals by a wicket keeper is with Mark boucher (475, 453 catches, 22 stumpings). Correct me If I am wrong.. .
