    question is not clear.

    do you mean to ask, how fresh water will cause corrosion in i.c engines ?

    if that is so, then how will fresh water enter this machine in the first place ? which part of it, will it come in contact with ? specify.

    but even then it sounds like differential corrosion.

    by mixing ethanol with water we can avoid corrosion in cylinder walls...
