Connectify Dispatch Adds Support For Metered Connections

About a month ago, we informed you about an awesome Kickstarter project called '#-Link-Snipped-#' - a software program that combines all the wireless connections around you to form a big, thick wireless connection that faster and reliable. As we write this, the Connectify Dispatch campaign has about 38 hours left and those who want to back this project may #-Link-Snipped-#.

In the mean time, we've heard from the Connectify Team that they've added support for metered connections to the software. What this feature allows you to do is set caps on individual connections. For example, if your 3G connection allows your free 2GB data; you can tell the software not to use the it once the limit is reached. In short, you will be able to download all your favorite stuff without worrying about getting a shock when you see your phone bill. The team's already added Dispatch Analytics Dashboard that gives you insights into the Internet connections you've used and how fast they really are.

In a recent #-Link-Snipped-#, the team unveiled two most requested features viz. Application Aware Connection Selection to that lets you tell Dispatch which connection to use with which application (ex. never use office Wi-Fi to download torrents) and Dispatch Network Profiles that lets you 'name' the group of connections like 'Office' & 'Home'.

We'll of course keep you updated about Dispatch's progress.
