Commercial Jetpacks Now On Sale

Let's face it, everyone of us must have had that fantasy of flying around with a Jetpack. The Inspiration? Of course some Sci-Fi movies and video games. But no, even before these movies were around in 1953, Bell Labs had made this possible with their first "rocket belt", which is now known as Jetpacks. But then there was two big limitations which stopped buyers for getting them, first was it wasn't available for sale and the other was that it weighed more than 100 pounds along with some modern day fuel which allowed it to stay airborne for less than a minute.

And now after solving out the sales issue, two companies are now selling Jetpacks. A start-up company from Mexico, Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana (TAM) is offering the custom built Jetpacks at $250,000 along with some flight and maintenance training which would keep you airborne for 30 seconds with the maximum given amount of hydrogen peroxide fuel in the tank. Another Colorado based company, Jetpack International, is offering the Jetpacks with a 3 second of extra air time. It means you'll get 33 seconds of flight, training and maintenance for just $155,000.

After 60 years of commercialisation of Jetpacks, now Jetpack International will be releasing a model of their product which would give an air time of 19 minutes by burning jet fuel instead of regular hydrogen peroxide tanks, which is quiet impressive. And now we can only expect the technology to improve more bringing alive the fantasy we had.
