CISCO Delivers Portable Containerized Data Center
Networking giant CISCO today announced the 'Containerized Data Center' (CDC)Â a pre-built custom data center that can be transported to any business, network location to address the needs of private and public computing & networking. The CISCO CDC is a module data center, very cost effective and features open architecture. It can be easily deployed at any target location within a very short time. In addition, it can be very useful in disaster recovery, support operations in remote locations while offering better cost-utilization. CISCO CDC has been built to consumer lesser power and operate at a better efficiency.

According to Pike Research report, by 2015, global spending on building green data center will rise to about 28% of total $150 billion. Taking the advantage of latest data center and server technologies, CISCO Containerized Data Center takes a step beyond the capabilities of traditional data centers and also lowers the operating expenses. CISCO has teamed up with multiple partners like VMware, NetApp, EMC to deliver cloud computing, storage and virtualization services through the new data center.
