Cicret Bracelet Makes Your Skin Work Like Touchscreen
After the advent of wearable devices such as smart watches, smart bands, glasses, and ear buds in the electronic stores, you might be thinking, what’s next? Well, if you are tired of carrying your bulky smartphone everywhere, then here’s a great news. Cicret has developed a narrow wristband called Cicret Bracelet which will allow you to use your own skin as a touchscreen. This waterproof bracelet projects an Android interface on your forearm by just twisting your wrist.
The bracelet consists of pico projector and eight proximity sensors in a line. These sensors points towards the forearm and detect the finger or fingers of the user’s hand. By just tapping the finger on their forearm, users can perform various activities such as sending and receiving emails, viewing documents, playing games, videos and audio files, browsing web et al.
Cicret Bracelet users will be using Cicret App for connecting the bracelet to the android device. The app can be downloaded on the android device without giving any personal information. After downloading the app, a unique ID is generated. This ID will be a channel for contact with the Cicret server. The communication of the device with the server is encrypted. For better security, a unique RSA is generated each time a user contacts the server.
Cicret Bracelet will be available with storage capacity of 16 GB or 32 GB. The connectivity includes Bluetooth,WiFi, and Micro USB port. The bracelet is equipped with features such as accelerometer, vibration module and LED for notification. A drawback of this device is that the screen projected on the skin is not as responsive as the touchscreens of the devices. Cicret Bracelet is not available for pre-order/order as the founders are still working on the prototype.
