ChromeBook For Engineering Students - Is It Useful?

Google Chrome OS has been made available and I'm wondering whether a browser only type of OS would be useful for any engineering student. Well, the browser will take care of everyday activities like surfing, checking news, emailing and communication, but do you think an engineering student will find it useful?

There are plenty of applications in the Chrome OS store. Which apps do you think would be useful for the students?
