On Tuesday, China fired off its Shenzhou-10 spacecraft with three of the astronauts on board: commander Nie Haisheng; Zhang Xiaoguang, assistant to Nie; and female crew member Wang Yaping who will deliver Physics lectures from the spacecraft 300km above the ground. The topic of the lecture would be motion in microgravity environment, surface tension of liquid and some basic demonstration of Newton's laws. The spacecraft was fired off the ground atop the new Long March - 2F carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at about 5:38 p.m.
The schedule of the lecture will be decided by the technical conditions of the spacecraft. The lesson will be aimed at making space more popular among students and create enthusiasm among students about Space travel, Universe and Science.
We'd keep an eye on whether the lesson will be available to everyone on the plant or just China. Stay tuned to CE for more updates.
