Project Abstract / Summary :
  • The usual constituents of concrete are cement, sand and gravel.
  • The rapid increase in construction activities leads to active shortage of conventional materials due to various reasons.
  • Therefore, there is a need for finding alternative cheaper materials that can be used as substitute for these materials.
  • To insist the potential use of specification of foam concrete as building blocks with saw dust ash and fly ash replacement of cement.
  • Cellular light concrete made from mixing aqueous foam into slurry of cement, fly ash, saw dust ash, water and other additives in a control condition.
  • It will Result many small air cells uniformly distributed throughout the concrete which will creates cellular structural material.
  • Precise control of the volume of these air cells, will results controlled densities and strength’s foam concrete.
  • Then the final mixture is either pumped or cast for blocks, panels, precast items, prefabricated houses, void fillings, roof insulations, floor screeds and many other applications without any vibration or compaction.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : We chosen the topic to partially replace the cement with saw dust ash and fly ash. To develop a suitable mix to make foam concrete blocks which can replace burnt clay bricks and reduces the problem of disposal of flyash. Also reduce the cost of construction , make a eco friendly structure, gives high thermal insulation, Acoustic Insulation, Fire Resistance blocks.
