Celkon, the India OEM has brought for us its all new - the Celkon A119Q Signature HD, an Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) running smartphone. One can't help but notice the upsurge of all these tablets/phablets and smartphones coming every other day from Indian cellphone manufacturers. They just blow up our screens when we see gadget news. Well, coming back to the smartphone - A119Q Signature HD features a sleek 5-inch screen that has a resolution of 720x1280 pixels while being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. Neat, you say? Well, to top it we have a PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU and memory specs that say - 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage of which 2.56GB is user accessible and upto 32GB expandable storage through a microSD card.
We digged up the tech specs even more, only to be pleasantly surprised by the Dual-SIM (GSM/WCDMA + GSM) functioning and a 12-megapixel rear camera as well as a 3-megapixel front-facing one, which is just above decent. A 2,100mAh battery powers up the A119Q and the user's connectivity needs will be addressed by the availability of 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS.
Celkon's current offer of a cover worth Rs. 1,500 coming for free along with this grab only makes it likelier choice over the recently launched Micromax Canvas A115 - The 3D Smartphone Out In India At INR 10,000 smartphone, which features the rather interesting features like 'Canvas 3D', that lets you convert your normal click into a 3D image and the 'Micromax 3D Space' app that comes pre-loaded allowing users to have access to 3D videos and games and at price tag of 9,999/-, we have a great competitor here. So, will Celkon's A119Q Signature HD rock the Indian market at INR 12,499? We will wait and find out.
