    Can anyone please suggest me is it preferable to take admission in mumbai cdac centre in cdac pune for pgdac.Also Please suggest whether wimc and ditiss. course from cdac pune and cdac mumbai are better than pgdac and how is the geoinformatics course. I am a bit confused as to which of the above course will help me most in placement.Also does anyone knows the placements of mumbai cdac centre.

    Good to see that the CDAC August 2013 results have been declared. I think the choice of center would be much influenced by the placement records. From what I've heard - CDAC Hyderabad and CDAC Pune have traditionally been known for their good placement records.

    Hey, I got Rank 208 in A + B + C. Above my rank 114 candidates have applied for PG-DIVESD. Will I get Sunbeam, Pune? And Sunbeam is the only center in Pune where DIVESD course is included. So only 60 seats to choose from.

    WiMC :: 283 above me.

    Want CDAC-ACTS, Aundh. Can I get it???

    Of B'lore Knowledge park and electronic city which is better?

    @OPRIME: imo, go for cognizant. Job experience is generally preferred over anything. Besides, you not joining means my pgDAC rank becomes 241 😛

    I am not sure about the placement of DASS since Bengaluru is the hub of automation, you can expect a better placement.
    BYW I have already registered a query regarding the placement of DASS in CDAC and they havn't replied yet and I also called them but they havn't told anything.

    cdac pune->bangalore knowledge park->sunbeam pune->cdac juhu mumbai/cdac noida/mnnit allahabad->vimarshana


    1st three options are extremely difficult but , you can try your luck,, juhu and noida , you may have chance of getting

    I know I've very little (or no) chances for PG-DAC Course in any of CDAC's 10 Main Centres, but want to Lock the Centre Preference to try luck out.

    I am not really interested in PG-DSSD, but can opt it if did't get any Main CDAC Centre (+ Sunbeam, Pune) for PG-DAC.

    Here you will get best company with more package but more competition as all Pune centers have common placements so u need to compete with 500 students. If you have top 500 rank u will get it.
    2. CDAC ACTS Bangalore :
    Second best to Pune ACTS . Good for DESD,DVLSI courses. Top 1500 rank can get u there.
    3. Third choice will be CDAC,Hyderabad.

    How many Companies visited the campus during Campus Placements?

    More than 100 companies visit C-DAC campus all over the country in each Campus Placement Programme.

    What is the help extended to the students for placements?

    Placement support is provided to the students for all the courses through centralized National level Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP). The CCPP is spread over a month, wherein students from all courses across India participate. We try to attract maximum companies to the campus to provide job opportunities to the students. While the entire process is governed by the student’s ability and performance, as well as the requirements and norms of the IT Industry, C-DAC and its centres take no credit for the placement of our students.     Not all the organizations have criteria. Companies shortlist a candidate on various parameters, including the scores in C-DAC course.

    Will my higher secondary or graduation scores affect my chance in placement?

    Yes, to a certain extent. Students having good scores in academics and C-DAC course, stand a better chance to get shortlisted for top companies.

    for pune, buddy you are quite on edge...I am aware of 298 rank for the DESD in pune...I have no record of afterward this rank...

    Forgot to mention that I also got 473 in DITISS but i'm least interested pursuing that and not applying for it. There are total 180 seats in CDAC and 40 in affiliated.

    Hey buddy I am from Noida and I opted for pune instead of Noida. There
    are many reasons behind it...
    1. most imp is placement which is better in pune
    2. training is better in pune
    3. reviews from other people
    4. and one thing more that I have heard about the cold war between CDAC pune and CDAC Noida regarding the placement. Last yr CDAC Noida recommends some companies from NCR for Noida batch only but CDAC pune declined there request(these are rumuors I heard from some of friends)...

    1.During the form submission I opted for DESD and VLSI only...
    2.most of the non CS/IT's don't get developer job...
    3.Actually I have done full java course during my graduation but during the job search most of the s/w companies were providing only testing job which is a dead end job(some of the companies invited us for the job but in the end they said DEVELOPER JOB IS NOT OPEN FOR EC STUDENTS)...

    Now i have no idea about the placement statistics.
    I am biased towards DIVESD; but guess that is only @ NOIDA center.
    My second preference is DESD followed by DVLSI.


    Will someone please help me with the choices?
