Cayan Tower, World's Tallest Building With 90 Degrees Twist Opens In Dubai

Cayan Towers, the world's tallest, unique building that twists 90 degrees from the ground to the top floor has been inaugurated in Dubai. Cayan investment and development has inaugurated the award-winning, AED 1 billion infinity tower located in the Dubai Marina. The official launch has followed shortly after the tower received Dubai Municipality's certificate of completion. The tower is good 310 meters (1017 ft) tall, comprises of 75 residential storeys and twists 90 degrees as one moves from the ground floor towards the 75th floor. What's even more interesting is that almost 80% of the flats in the building have been sold.

The Cayan Tower has been designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill, the company behind the design of Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Trump Tower in Chicago and Jin Mao in Shanghai. The construction of Cayan Tower began in February 2006 and completed in 2012. Each of the floor is rotated by approximately 1.2 degrees to achieve the full 90 degree spiral. The building will host residential apartments, conference rooms, tennis courts, pools, gymnasium, nursery and a spa.
