@Better ThanBefore .. Can u tell me what all things networking consists of I mean what all main topics..
As we have studied Compute Communication Network subject in our engg which had 7layer OSI model and LAN,WAN,IPV4&6... and Network Security subject which contained Services,Mechanisms and Attacks on network and Ciphering methods (DES,AES) and Digital signature and Web security(SSL and Transport Layer) and also it covered Indruders, Malicious Software and Firewalls....
sorry for long description above ...
i want to know whether above topics come under networking and with the prior knowledge of above topics can i apply for job on networking now..
As i am 2012 passout i am looking for job opportunity now....
Any how i will take up complete Networking course atleast till then can i apply for networking companies with above knowledge.....
I dont think LAN, WAN,MAN ,OSI/TCP IP models, IPv4, IPv6 , SSl & TPDU will do good.....
Its just basic .... If you do course of Cisco-CCNA,CCNP,CCIE / RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer /Security - ASA_Checkpoint / GIMS (Global Infrastructure Management Specialist) / MS (MCITP...MCTS) / AHCNP Advanced Certified Hardware & Networking Professional .... list just goes on.
But AHCNP is 2 semester course which covers RH124,MCITP,CCNA,RH134 .. its pretty good course.
While, CCNA is good for infrastructure related , Network admin jobs.
While, RHCE is more like sysadmin certification.
I feel only Knowledge of protocols wont lead you to good job ... but BE alongwith these courses would be killer ...
And M.E. in Network + Above courses = Veteran,Period.
