Cardio Rescue Friend (CRF)
Project Abstract / Summary : My project CRF (Cardio Rescue Friend) is a life saving device. With thought to save the life of heart patients around the world. Lots of heart patients die due to heart attack. But it’s not due to heart attack, but due to lack of medical help provided at correct time. 1 hour post heart attack is a very crucial time for any heart patient, if he/she get proper medical help he can be saved. Our device provide patient that crucial time so that his life can be saved.
Our device continuously measure the pulse rate of the person by a wireless sensor on person’s hand & checks for the condition of heart attack(pulse below or above normal). Whenever person have a heart attack it raises an alarm at local level & continuously send SMS to 5 pre-fed numbers in interval of 5secs until any one of them call/sms back. Hence provide help to the person as soon as possible in that crucial 1 hour of post heart attack, hence saving life of the patient.
It consist of two parts a wireless sensor worn by person and a base station which is raises alarm and do the SMS alert part. Its an inexpensive project so any person can buy it without hesitation. And is power efficient battery last for at least a week.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : My Grandfather died to due Heart Attack due to lack of medical help on time post heart attack, because nobody new when he had attack. If we had taken him to hospital on time. We could have saved him. This incident motivated me to make an instrument, a device that can alert & provide that crucial life saving 1 hour post heart attack.
