Car Parking Counter Up To 99 Slots
hello every one.. i need some help and ideas here.. i have a project to make "car parking counter" for up to 99 slots.. the idea in its simplest form is to have a sensor in each parking slot, and two 7 segments displays common for all the slots.. so when a car enters the slot, the counter starts counting, and the display shows the number (01) which means that there is 1 full slot, and the rest are available..
i have the counters circuit but i need to konw how to conect it with the senser, to perform the wanted task??

i think you have to connect sensor at the starting for counting and for decrementing you have to connect at another end at exit
are you using micro controller right then connect it with sensor

Can you please let me know which sensor are you using? I think IR Sensor in each slot is OK. what are you doing for calculation?
