actually I left the explanation part so as not to spoil the sport for other members who would try to solve the question.....
anyway ,if it's expected then here's it

1*2+2*3=8
2*3+3*7=27
3*4+4*5=32
4*5+5*8=60
5*6+6*7=72

hence 6*7+7*8=98😎

since all the nos are in sequence , fisrt operands are multiplied by 1....onwards and then both the operands are multiplied with each other and consequently added together.....👍

see it's simple :
2*3=6
+ 3*7=21
6+21=27
is it this that u wanted to know? or probably u might be thinking that the nos marked red aren't in sequential fashion....but that insequentiality is a part of ur challenge...😀

it was there in ur question itself......and knew that it's right ...i had to insert only 6 in the structure ....that's why i have formatted the manually entered numbrs as bold...

Explanation :
1)Add the two numbers
2)Multiply the answer with first digit and subtract the same digit to answer.
example :2+3=8
1)2+3=5
2)5*2=10
3)10-2=8

i found answer by the following,
(2*3)+(2*1)=8
(3*7)+(3*2)=27
(4*5)+(4*3)=32
(5*8)+(5*4)=60
(6*7)+(6*5)=72
here 1,2,3,4..etc are the order of equations
so
7+8=(7*8)+(7*6)=98
