BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has tied up with Pantel Technologies Private Limited and launched a new phone called the 'Bharat Phone' at a price of Rs. 1,099 in India. The Dual-SIM phone was first introduced back in November 2013 along with BSNL's two smartphones -

Powered by a SC6531C processor and running on Java OS, the BSNL Bharat phone features a 3-inch TFT screen with 320 x 240 pixels resolution. Packed inside the phone is 64 MB RAM and 64 MB internal storage which is expandable up to 8 GB. There's a 1.3 megapixel pixel camera on the rear.
Deriving its power from a 1800 mAh LAN battery, the Bharat Phone offers 8 hours of talk time and 15 days standby time. Among the connectivity options, there's GPRS, Bluetooth, 2G and 3G connectivity. Not to mention, the phone brings support for stereo FM Radio with recording. The company has also offered 1200 minutes of free talk-time.
The phone also features a 3.5 mm audio jack for plugging in earphones. The BSNL Bharat phone is now available for purchase with certain e-retailers and Pantel's official website.
