Bridgestone To Make World-Class Tires From 100% Sustainable Materials

The prime concern of engineers around the globe is to make everything they work on sustainable. Making noble efforts in this direction, Bridgestone, the multinational auto and truck parts manufacturer company, has announced that they are developing new technologies to make world-class tires from 100% sustainable materials. The company announced this at the World Rubber Summit 2012 in Singapore. In order to do this, they are diversifying the regions in which they produce natural rubber and expanding the range of reinforced plant fibers they use. They are also employing the the 3R technologies (reduce, reuse, and recycle) to make things the green way.



Moreover, they are replacing fossil resources with renewable materials by developing synthetic rubber, carbon black, and rubber compounding agents that can be created from biomass materials. So, they want to better the complete value chain from raw materials to finished products. Bridgestone is also working on future tire technologies that can reduce CO2 emissions through improved fuel efficiency.
