BlackBerry Set To Unveil Their Latest Mercury Smartphone Featuring A QWERTY Keyboard At MWC'17

From the buzz of CES,’17 to the official confirmation, the latest BlackBerry Mercury QWERTY from the Canadian multinational telecom software and mobile hardware company BlackBerry has appeared in innumerable tech-blogs and news, creating a chain of rumors. Good news is this time, granting our expectations the company has announced the upper mentioned product would soon make its official debut on 25th of February in MWC,’17. The confirmation, however, comes with a twist of gif file in form of a tweet. But why wait a month? When we can still discuss and speculate on what the BMQ has in store for us.

Unfortunately we don’t have a good list of specifications to share with you, however, we do know that the model brings back the QWERTY Keyboard and shall be the last one that has been purely designed and engineered By Blackberry but manufactured by TCL. The last released short clip in CES promises a unibody metal design with a soft-touch back panel, boasting of BlackBerry’s logo in upper middle portion. The phone also sports a USB Type-C port adjacent to two speaker holes.

Revealing an aluminum casing, the gadget clubs black antenna bands with it. As we know, the spacebar of the legendary BB phones’ keyboard now features a finger print scanner, the new device seems to follow the trend. Like it or not, the phone will hold a power button along with the volume up-down keys. Also, it is speculated that the phone features a 4.5” screen. Plus, BMQ also runs on Android Nougat 7.1.

Powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, the gadget is expected to house a 3400 mAh battery. Although there is no confirmed news about its internal or expandable storage, it would likely be supported by a contemporary 4GB RAM. Talking about its camera, again a third party agency hints that the back panel is attached to an 18MP camera while the front features a decent 8MP. The company also hints that they have specifically targeted east zone including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
