Blackberry SecuTABLET Based On Samsung Galaxy Tab S Features High Security

In a world where security breaches are becoming one of the most common headlines, most tech giants are gearing up for launching products that want to ensure the user's data's safety. One such company is SecuSmart, now a Blackberry venture, that has launched a new highly secure tablet bearing the name SecuTABLET. Based on the Android tablet - "Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5", the SecuTABLET was recently presented at the CeBIT 2015 event in a collaboration of IBM and SecuSmart. The purpose of such a tablet is to enable users to access their crucial data via tablet on the go. Generally, the most secure data is restricted to the desktops as there is an increased chance of security attacks if it is taken on the move. Even personal use apps such social networking applications - Twitter, Facebook or Whatsapp can also be used securely on the SecuTABLET.

The new secure tablet from Blackberry runs the SecuSUITE for BlackBerry 10 OS. Don't be confused here. The tablet will be running on Android OS even if it is a Blackberry product. The company SecuSmart is confident that since many years, a lot of national and international users have trusted them with their data and voice based communications through the Secusmart Security Card, they have used the same technology to empower the SecuTABLET. Their current solution is being certified at the German Federal Office for Information Security for the German VS-NfD security rating.

The company wants you to download the app from the German Government's secure Bundes-AppStore. The tablet is said to add app wrapping, where-in the file system is put in a secure container, the 'www' element is put in a secure VPN tunnel and the data being used in the app undergoes secure interaction. IBM is responsible for coming up with this secure app wrapping technology for the SecuTABLET.

Secusmart company has always focused on building products for enterprise mobile security. That said, it is worth noting that this is not the first time Blackberry has launched a secure tablet. Around 4 years back, BlackBerry introduced its first tablet known as the PlayBook, which didn't click with the consumers and was later discontinued.

The company hasn't released any special technical specifications sheet for the SecuTABLET. So, if you are wondering about the specs, we recommend reading the features of Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 And 8.4 Launched - Feature Super AMOLED Display. The highlights being - 3 GB RAM, 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage expandable to 128 GB. An 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel Full HD front camera and a mammoth of a 7,900 mAh battery to provide enough juice for more than a day.

With that we come to the end of all that you want to know about the new highly secure tablet from Blackberry's SecuSmart. What are your thoughts about the SecuTABLET? Share your opinions with us in comments below.
