Bigger And Better iPhone And iPad For 2012

With leaks of the next iPhone and iPad all around the web, we have new leaks that suggests that the next iPhone is gaining a centimetre in length. This is in order to pack a 4 inch screen into the phone. Some previous rumours suggested a teardrop shape of the phone for fitting in LTE batteries. The next iPhone will now be 8mm more in length than the current generation along with a metal casing.

The next iPad is expected to be holding in a higher resolution screen then the current generation's 1024 x 768. The increase in resolution is also expected to increase the depth of the iPad by 0.7mm for a more pixel-dense display which would require better backlighting. Acer is getting ready to launch Iconia Tab A700 with a 1920 x 1200 resolution display which also hinted some rumours that the iPad 3 will get a 2048 x 1536 screen resolution which seems to be completely false given the hardware requirement needed to pack in such a huge resolution screen.

Both the new iPhone and iPad is obviously scheduled for launch in 2012 with the next iPhone expected to be launched next summer. Apple is also refreshing the MacBook Pro with a much slimmer profile by excluding the optical drive from the series line-up and is also expected to be in stores in the earlier part of Q2 of 2012.
