...I'm not falling for it. Pic the machine itself or with CrazyEngineers loaded on it. 😎

...and convert the image to jpeg; PNGs are heavy.

We want to see your outer hardware (the actual laptop), not what's inside. Aerial shots would do good, with different angles to boost it up. And you can add that to the #-Link-Snipped-# of all time 😛

...I'll suggest only if you make your macbook air awesome with a CE Sticker 😁

Mail: Airmail app : $0.99 ; but it's worth $100
IM: Adium
Image Editing: Pixelmator - a total photoshop alternative
Document Editing: Word for Mac (OSX). There's no worthy alternative to MS Office.
Presentations : Keynote rocks, but PPT is what the world prefers.
Media Player: VLC for OSX and iTunes is awesome too.
Text Editor: Textmate free edition
Coding: Eclipse open source editor
Browser: Safari; because it eats lesser battery and is just as good as Chrome
