    If bandwidth of some channel is B then why maximum data rate is 2B?

    Nope. I don't think they are in ways related . First where did you strike this concept this is not feasible as aliasing will be too much to tolerate

    Hi,

    The term is used with ISDN lines. There are two ways of implementation called BRI (Basic Rate interface)and PRI (Primary rate interface).
    Each B channel is equivalent to 64kbps. The BRI line (we use at home or internet cafe) is 2B that 2x64kbps lines (128 kbps). However if you require high bandwidth then you have to go with PRI which is T1 (US) and E1 (Europe) that corresponds to 24 and 32 channels aggregating to 1.4 Mbps and ~2Mbps bandwidth pipes.
