The new app has a bit of a SIRI in it however it is not an Apple product. The iOS app which is available for #-Link-Snipped-# is launched by #-Link-Snipped-#- a platform for making and manipulating audio content on web. It gives you an opportunity to share your story in your own words or rather in your own voice. The app is an extension of the visual effects that we see in networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+. The point is to let people have fun in one more way rather than only reading text or sharing photos. Now you can also add audio clippings to share your story taking the experience much closer to reality.

Jeffrey Stier, President and founder, QWiPS said, "<em>With the launch of the QWiPS app, one of the most powerful tools for self-expression in real life â our voices â is finally available for the masses to integrate into their digital lives</em>â. The striking feature of the app is that you are able to create threaded conversations much like that on Forums or on Social networking websites. Much to the surprise of many, the conversations will follow the audio path.
The trademarked technology QwipBacks⢠is something different than that of the Retweet feature in Twitter. Any person who wants to take part in the conversation is able to do so without any problem. Then there are also couple of other facilities like PhotoQwips⢠and Filter effects which make your online presence worth by bringing you close to celebrities you follow.
But is this limited to just sharing and self expression? Or is there something more to it? I guess I will go with the sec0nd option. The audio clipping which you are making can be modified similar to the photos which you edit in Photoshop. The app is so interesting that even with the 30 seconds audio clip that is created you are able to add themes, background music and lots more. Imagine you are modifying a horrifying voice to a sound as that of the chipmunks. Moreover, if you are a celebrity, you can sell your voice content to someone and become even more popular, wish merry Christmas to your fans or even sell it if you want.

â<em>Savvy celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and MC Hammer have embraced social media tools to interact with their fans. QWiPS gives celebrities an entirely fresh and innovative way to authentically connect with those fans: their voice</em>,â said Peter Grossman, CEO, QWiPS. However voice tampering may become a problem in some of the cases and the voice has to be confirmed before any clipping is believed to be from a particular person. As of now, you can rejoice by making personalized e-greetings and share it with your near and dear ones!
