The ASUS press event at CES 2015 began with the unveiling of the second generation of its ZenFone range of Android smartphones. The ASUS Zenfone 2 and ZenFone Zoom are the first Android smartphones from the company to receive Android 5.0 (Lollipop). If you remember the first-generation ZenFone devices which were launched last year are still stuck on Android Jelly Bean that is topped with the company’s award winning skin, ZenUI. ASUS has enhanced the ZenUI to make it faster and more customisable. The ASUS Zenfone 2 inculcates the same design as its predecessor but now features an edge to edge screen. Both ASUS Zenfone 2 and Zenfone Zoom sport a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected 5.5-inch IPS panel Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display with pixels per inch figure of 403 and brightness levels of 400nits.
