Asus Eee PC Flare Netbook Photos Leaked Ahead Of CES 2012
Asus will be showcasing the successor of their Seashell range of netbooks at this year's CES 2012. The new series has been named 'Flare'. Back in June at Computex 2011 Asus had given some hint about their next generation netbooks featuring the latest Intel's Cedar Trail platform. But the leaked images of the final product seem to be completely redesigned from the prototype that were showcased then.

The Asus Eee PC Flare series' design has been done by ASUSDesign, the design division of the company at Taiwan, and the team describes the Flare's design as revolutionary and being inspired by modern lifestyle and fashion, which is trendy and adds a more personal touch to it. The flexibility of use has also been maximised with the use of various I/O ports along the two sides of the netbook.
The final product differs from the prototype which was showcased previously during Computex in ways like the chrome button used for triggering Wi-Fi on the top left of the keyboard has been replaced by branding 'Eee PC Flare Series', the hinges holding the screen has also reduced in size, the overall look and feel also seems to be changed a lot.

The Flare series will be having two different versions with varying form factors. The 12-inch model has been named Eee PC 1225 with 1225B being the AMD Fusion platform and the 1225C being based on Intel's Cedar Trail platform. The 10-inch variant named Eee PC 1025 similarly has two variants namely Eee PC 1025C and Eee PC 1025CE. More details on these and other products will be available during the second week of January 2012 and we promise to cover them all as they happen at CES in Las Vegas.
