Android Gets Flash For The Last Time. HTML 5 Kills Flash.

The future for Android is definitely going to be without Flash as Google has already confirmed the use of HTML5 going into the future. Now Adobe has also confirmed that it will release a final version of Flash for Android 4.0 and another for Flash Linux Porting Kit by the end of this year and will not release any update other than while addressing some security issues or bug fixes.

So finally owners of Samsung Galaxy Nexus can rejoice as the phone currently does not support Flash and they cannot have a full web experience on their Gingerbread or Honeycomb based phones. The Android 5.0, expected to be named Jelly Bean and release in December 2012, will not support Flash.

Adobe will now concentrate on innovating the Flash for premium video and an experience of console quality gaming through apps on mobile devices and smart TVs and on PCs through browsers. Adobe will also be developing new versions of Flash Builder and Flash Professional for developers who would like to develop new contents for mobile devices, smart TVs and PC browsers. Adobe AIR will also be seen with new developments as it has been used by developers for creating various innovative mobile applications.

Flash Player 12 for desktop is also under development. On the future of Flash, it seems that HTML5 is now taking over the web and now Flash will be playing a new role by delivering the best of video has to offer with features getting more into the gaming platforms.
