Itâs not been a long time since Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was launched. Google is planning to launch the new version Jelly Bean (Android 5.0) this summer. Hardly any one of us has got a chance to see a smartphone running Ice Cream Sandwich so far. And now, Google has aroused immense suspense among the technocrats yet again.

Digitimes reported that the new version may get its way in the second quarter of 2012. So far, Android 4.0 has not gained good pace in the market, so thinking about Jelly Beanâs success is dubious. Basically, Jelly Bean will be optimized for tablet PCs with Googleâs initiative to power the tablet PCs with dual-boot system; Both Android 5.0 and Windows 8 will boot from a single device.
Further, manufactures will get a choice to choose their required operating system or even opt for both. Interestingly, Digitimes claims that users would be able to switch between the operating systems smoothly without having to restart their device. On the other hand, Google is trying to push its operating system to its upcoming notebooks and netbooks which are going to grab huge attention of potential customers.
Windows 8 is nevertheless an awaited operating system from Microsoft, tweaked for tablet devices. So we are going to have a battle ground where two operating systems from the leading vendors are going to combat on a single-chip (ROM). The only thing that may prevail in the mind of the users â âWill users get best of both the worlds?â
