AMD's 8 Core Chip Is Out To Fight Back With Intel

AMD is rolling out the 8 core desktop chips at relatively low-cost to gain some strength to fight back with Intel in the market field of microprocessors. Notably, these chips were the first 8 core processors and also with #-Link-Snipped-# architecture employed chips from AMD.

AMD Bulldozer FX 8 Core Chips

So far, AMD have been backed in the marked field, letting the Intel to dominate because of its incapability to build power efficient chips, although they were pros in manufacturing a high performance chips. This incapability got broken down into pieces by the AMD’s Bulldozer FX family 8 core processors with both power and processing efficiency. Already a statistics delivered by the Mercury Research shows the AMD’s share of the microprocessor market raised from17.8% to 19.4% in a year. But Intel is holding grossly about 99.1% from the rest of 80.6% market share for microprocessors, which is a dominating figure.

Besides these, FX processors were capable of competing with Intel’s i3 and i5 processors both in performance and cost, giving AMD a chance to boost their economy by some increased revenue. This AMD 8 core FX chip which could run at 3.6 GHz costs only $250, as #-Link-Snipped-#.  But, these FX chips could not compete with i7 processors in performance leading to no chance for AMD to fight against Intel in high performance processor market. Also to gain some more of the processor market shares, AMD need to keep on rolling out some new processors regularly because,  it is Intel they are dealing with.
