Amazon Selling Over One Million Kindles A Week

Amazon.com #-Link-Snipped-# that they have been selling over a million Kindle devices per week for the last three weeks and Kindle still remains the best selling device on the site for the past 11 weeks. Since its launch in 2007, Amazon Kindle has been one of the most preferred e-book reader around the world. And since then it has evolved and added many variations to its family. The line-up includes:

* Amazon Kindle Touch 3G for $149

* Amazon Kindle Fire for $199

Dave Limp, Vice President, Amazon Kindle said that the Kindle Fire is the most successful product they have launched and owing to the response and high sales they are manufacturing a million more Kindle Fire units to meet the demand. Readers have been preferring the Kindle e-inks for extended reading while using the Kindle Fire to watch movies, play games, surfing the web and using other integrated services.

While Kindle Fire is expected to get some software update from Amazon for improvements in performance and multi-touch features, it has been one of the most loved Tablet receiving mixed reviews from technology enthusiasts. Amazon is also offering access to their Kindle Owners' Lending Library and Prime Instant Video with Amazon Prime membership where readers can borrow thousands of books without any extra cost and have access to over 13,000 movies and TV shows with the Prime Instant Video service.
