  • It's no secret that Amazon Phone is coming in June and the latest leaks in the media hint at awesomeness this phone would bring to the masses. Amazon was reported to be working on innovative 3D technology; but the details on how this technology will work were closely guarded. The latest updates hint at possibility of a phone with four front-facing cameras that will track the head and iris movements of the user and adjust the display accordingly. The phone will automatically adjust its interface depending on the position of the user to offer the best viewing experience possible.

Note that the new technology will be quite different from the existing 3D technology available in phones like HTC's EVO 3D. The current technology requires you to have a fixed perspective to experience glasses-free 3D; but Amazon will use imagery from all four of its cameras to create holographic effect to offer the best-in-class viewing experience.

Being the largest online retailer, Amazon will likely add software tweaks to the phone's camera system as well. The reports hint at a possible camera feature that will let you click any object and then find a similar product in Amazon's store. It's no brainer that Amazon will explore possible ways of building revenue streams through their new phone. We won't be surprised to see the Amazon phone running customized FireOS.

The reports also hint at possible launch of two phones; with few of the tech-blogs predicting a free Amazon phone. Amazon spokesperson, however, has clarified that if Amazon were to launch a phone, it will not be free.

Like the way Amazon does things. Its tablets are of top notch quality and this phone is surely continue this trend. I am still skeptical about 3D on phones.

Reminds me of the 3D hologram of Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol
