Amazon Phone - It's Real! It's Got Android!

Jeff Bezos and his army of engineers at Amazon have developed Amazon Phone and it could be launched / demoed to the press in the next few hours, says Exclusive: Amazon phone confirmed, could be announced tomorrow - The Verge. It looks like Amazon's having trouble keeping their bag secret. Their yet to be announced updated #-Link-Snipped-# and backlit 'paperwhite' Kindle reader have already been leaked ahead of the company's press event due in the next few hours. The Verge's sources have confirmed that Amazon is likely to unveil the phone they're working on in the upcoming press event. The phone itself is said to be unfinished and even if Amazon shows it to the press; it won't reveal all the details. It's expected that the Amazon Phone will carry a tweaked version of Android 4 ICS; like the leaked Kindle Fire and adopt Nokia Maps for the navigation solution. That is because forking Android would mean that Amazon won't be able to use Google Maps service.
