Allied Computers Unveil ‘ACi ICON 1100’ Laptop For Rs. 4,999

Allied Computers International (Asia) Ltd. unveiled the ACi ICON 1100 laptop for an astonishing price of Rs. 4,999 ready for the Indian markets by July. The ACi ICON 1100 claims to be a fully functional laptop with a 10.2 inch high resolution (1024x768 pixel display) screen, powered by a VIA processor. The provided 512MB RAM is expandable to 1GB RAM and the 4GB storage space up to 32GB. Being Windows compatible, the laptop features high definition audio, webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity, SD card reader and weighs in at 700 gram with the battery. Hirji Patel, MD of Allied Computers assured to regularly update the model to meet changing customer demands and never to compromise on quality of ACi ICON 1100 laptops.

With the commercial launch expected in late July, Allied Computers hopes to break a deal with state governments to provide these low cost laptops for students under various programs.
