All-Metal Oppo A71 Comes With Octa-Core Processor, 3000mAh Battery & Rs. 12990 Price Tag

Oppo has quietly launched their new smartphone in India just in time to combat the Xiaomi Mi A1. Oppo which normally focuses on the offline retail markets along with sister brand Vivo has been recently churning out premium smartphones for the upper mid-range market but this new launch is meant to be sold exclusively on Flipkart. This is one of the few times Oppo have made their smartphone an online exclusive. The Oppo A71 arrives in India just before the festive season and with its Rs. 12990 price tag will give interested buyers another option which widens their choices.

The Oppo A71 starts off by bragging about its looks. The body of Oppo A71 is made out of aluminium and they have added ‘gliding electroface’ and ‘nano silver’ technology to add to the gloss and make the Oppo A71 feel easy on your hands. To make the edges seamless Oppo has come up with ‘Lustre Edge’ connects all the ports in a single line for slimness and has been inspired from the line on a dolphin’s back. If you think we are babbling about the dolphin inspiration, we aren’t they mention this on the product page whose link you can find at the bottom of this article. The Oppo A71 has a slightly big 5.2inch TFT display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display that is sadly isn’t encased in any branded protective glass.

The Oppo A71 is equipped with the MediaTek 6750 chipset that is much better than the MT6737 chipset that we find on tons of smartphones in the entry level and mid-range smartphones. On the Oppo A71 you can find an octa-core setup of 1.5GHz ARM A53 and 1.0GHz ARM A53 CPUs, ARM Mali T860 MP2 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. This hardware powers the Color OS 3.1 which is Oppo’s take on Android Nougat 7.1. The Oppo A71 has an internal memory of 16GB and it thankfully has a dedicated microSD card slot instead of the idiotic hybrid SIM slots which limit the customer with the choice of two SIMs or one SIM and one microSD card.

The Oppo A71 has a 13MP camera on the rear that is coupled with a LED flash. The rear camera on the Oppo A71 has Phase Detection Auto Focus for faster focus and noise in darker conditions is reduced with the help of Multi-Frame Denoising technology. The front camera has a resolution of 5MP and you can use bokeh, panorama and tons of filters in real-time. The Oppo A71 is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The Oppo A71 supports VoLTE, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. You can find proximity, light, gravity and e-compass sensors on the Oppo A71. The Oppo A71 can be purchased from Flipkart in Black and Gold colour variants in an open sale from today.

Oppo and vivo has been making some strong waves in India with high investments in promoting products offline and their products dont shy from being pretty decent. Good specs at the price range but to compete Mi at this price range they need some serious innovative features that lure people towards them. Nowadays its difficult to differentiate the brands by their outer design. All looks nearly same
