Air Drag Braking System in Trains

Project Abstract / Summary : The braking in trains is a heavy process and also it requires more power and takes long distance to stop itself. There is lot of wind energy obtained from the train. By using the drag force of train it can be quickly and efficiently stopped by using the specially designed spoiler wings in trains. This method is simple and it reduces train braking time and increase the life time of braking components by reducing the wear.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : India have the worlds largest railway network and speeding trains are increased gradually. many accidents and suicides are occurred in trains. These factors induced me to think on this topic. And also its simple and easy when compared to other technologies.
