Project Abstract / Summary : Email is said to be the transmission of messages over the communication networks and it has become a routine activity. The key idea of our project is to enhance the features in technical aspect . In technical facet there is client side De-duplication to remove the redundancy of data before uploading into server. Client side De-duplication is resolved before uploading of any images and documents into the server. For documents, index based string comparison is done by comparing the document that is to be uploaded into the server with the document existing in the server. The image comparison is done using the LDN values. By the implementation of single instance storage scheme time,bandwidth and disk space wastage are depreciated. In De-duplication process, unique chunks of data,or byte patterns are identified and stored during a process of analysis. Why did you choose to work on this project topic : The main focus on these days is towards cloud and the major concern in cloud is storage. We wanted to reduce the redundant data at the client side rather on the server side which would serve the above concern mentioned. This is will be of greater use to people because it saves the data rate if the file is already present in the database. As far as now the advantage has been only for the cloud providers but our objective is to provide advantage for the cloud users.
Project Highlights : We think that there should be a new revolution in the field of software, a concept that can be implemented in any area with much use for the people. If the project is implemented then it can be enhanced and provided
like mail as a service. This mail as a service would be a service provided similar to the services provided by cloud. Client side De-duplication will become the most preferred one then by the masses.
