Advanced Electronic Voting System By Using Thumb Impression

Project Abstract / Summary : This project aims at providing a voting system that cannot be tempered with. It provides a significant improvement over the existing electronic voting system in areas such as efficiency, security and speed. The process begins with establishing the identity of the voter by making use of an RFID system. Then a finger print sensor is used to sense the finger prints of the voter. The acquired finger print is verified with the previously accumulated database, consisting of finger print samples of the voters. If and only if the acquired finger print is matched to any of the finger print samples from the database the voter will be allowed to vote. After the vote is registered the count will be sent to the GSM modem which in turn transmits the count to the centralized server. The server is automated to display the result at the end of the election. Thus providing secure and immediate results.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Voting system nowadays suffers many illegal votes. To counter this cause, this system is developed to prevent illegal voting and to provide secure voting system.
This system also provides acknowledgement to the voter.
