Acer Revo One RL85 Is The New Entertainment Hub Featuring Intel Processor

Taiwanese multinational company, Acer has announced a new compact Windows 8.1 PC called Revo One RL85. White in colour with glossy look, this device is more or less a personal media hub as it comes with many entertainment functionalities. Revo One RL85 is now available at leading retailers in the U.S. starting at $249.99 and is being offered in four variants with different configurations for meeting various demands of the users. The company claims that this new entertainment center comes with powerful RAID storage capabilities, excellent audio and dual monitor support.

With the dimensions 4.19 x 4.19 x 6.1 inches, Revo One RL85 is small enough to fit anywhere in your living room or in any modern office. The models feature 5th generation Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors with the clock speed varying from 1.40 GHz to 2.20 GHz. Coming to the storage, the entry level Revo One houses 60 GB solid state drive and 2 GB RAM whereas the high end variant sports 1 TB hard drive and 8 GB RAM for storing videos, documents, photos, songs and many more. They use SATA expansion ports for adding two extra HDDs (capacity up to 2 TB each) that can be configured to RAID 0, 1 and 5 for data protection and backup.

Two variants of Revo One enclose Intel HD 5500 Graphics. Moreover, all the models deliver very good audio by featuring HD 7.1 surround sound and support dual displays via HDMI and Mini DisplayPort. However, some variants can even connect to 4K2K UHD monitors and 4K televisions. For fast wireless communication, 802.11ac protocol-enabled Wi-Fi connection is also provided by Acer. On the top of the device, there are four LED lights for indicating the status of each hard drive and LAN beside SD card slot. And, on the back side of the PC there are two USB 3.0 ports, an ethernet slot, two USB 2.0 ports, and two display ports. By using remote-control app, the users can convert their smartphones or tablets into a remote controller of Revo One.
