Let A = {x : 3x=6}, Does A=2?

    x is to have the values that satisfy the condition 3x=6.only 2 satisfies this condition.

    Sorry but A is not equal to 2. A simple logic is there.
    Hint:- here A is set.

    Let me tell you the answer
    Here A is the set which consists of the single element 2,i.e A{2}.The number 2 belong to A;it does not mean that it is equal to A.There is a basic difference between an element A and the singleton set {A}.
    It looks very crazy.
