2014 Ford Fiesta Price And Specs Out As 3 Diesel Variants Launch In India

Ford India Private Limited has launched its brand new 2014 Ford Fiesta in 3 diesel variants - 1.5D Ambiente, 1.5D Trend and 1.5D Titanium with redesigned look and additional features. The new look is inspired from a cool and contemporary design style and the price range of the new Fiesta 2014 is Rs. 7.69 lakh for Ambiente, Rs. 8.55 lakh for Trend and Rs. 9.29 lakh for the high-end Titanium variant. We decided to take a look at the underlying technical specs for the new sedan and check out the highlighted features for ourselves.

Here we go, powered by a 4 Cylinder In-line 8V SOHC TDCi 1498cc engine coupled with all aluminium alloy construction, the new Ford Fiesta 2014 offers a max power output of 91 ps and a max torque of 204 nm per 2000-2750 rpm. The 5 speed manual transmission car has Independent McPherson Strut with Coil spring & Anti-roll bar front suspension and Semi-independent twist beam with twin shock absorbers filled with gas & oil as the rear suspension. The front brakes are ventilated discs, while the rear ones are self adjusting drums. At the bottom, there's 195/60 R15 tubeless tyres and 15 inch steel wheels (Alloy ones for Titanium variant).

The sedan's power steering features EPAS with pull drift compensation technology. Along with for the comfort and convenience, there's power windows, rear defogger, adjustable seats belts and driver seat and cruise control. On the interior, there's two tone (charcoal black and light earth grey) finish, chrome park brake release knob, metallic painted centre console and door pull handles. All the variants feature front dual airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer, child lock and door reinforcements. The entertainment unit has voice control, audio controls on steering wheel, aux-in, USB and audio with 6 speakers.

The company shares that the Ford Fiesta 2014 delivers a mileage of 25.01 kmpl and boasts about the car's low maintenance saying that it will need 10,000 kms between two services. Other than all the basic tech specs, the new Fiesta brings rear parking sensors, ultra rigid safety cell, plug and play support, keyless entry and push button start.

That pretty much covers all the features and specifications of the all new Ford Fiesta 2014. The car has been revamped quite a bit and the company hopes to take off in its sales charts soon enough.
