1st Web-Based Graphical Editor for each engineering modules in SVG format scripted in Java

Project Abstract / Summary : The main aim of our project is to overcome the short-come of integrating various engineering modules/components into one editor and a hard-core attempt to integrate it with MOODLE.The Web-Based Editor will be a framework to build a rich graphical editor for modules and put them to the environment for editing.The editor performs syntactic consistency checks during the interactive design process.SVG drawings in the editor will be dynamic and interactive.Time Based modifications to the elments can be described in SMIL, or will be programmed in scripting languages(eg:ECMAScript or JavaScript).The features set includes nested transformation,alpha-mask,cliping paths, filter effects,template objects and extensibility.Files in .svg extension will be created in Adobe Creative Suite applications.The editor moreover will includes basic PDF format capabilities.The basic components of each engineerin disciplines are coverd here(cicuits,flow diagrams,gates,mechanical and civil modules,anatomy models,et).

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : The main aim of undertaking this project is to integrate various Engineering components into a single editor which has not been yet done by any.The Web-Based Graphical Editor will prove useful to each engineering disciplines for their graphical representations and practicals.
