1. TCS 2. Infosys 3. ?? [Hint: WIPRO / Cognizant]

According to #-Link-Snipped-#report in TOI, NASDAQ Cognizant may steal the third largest IT company title from WIPRO in near future, the first two being Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys. There's been a boom in the Indian IT and Cognizant is surely banking on it. Indian IT will generate about 50% of the IT jobs all over the world and over 200,000 engineers will find placements in 2011. Infosys alone will #-Link-Snipped-# this year.

[IMG]Cognizant has been exceeding its financial targets for the past quarters and if their growth continues in the same way, they'll soon over take Wipro. Angel Broking IT Analyst Srishti Anand says that with the financial reports of Cognizant each quarter, they'll likely replace Wipro from its 3rd spot. On the other hand, Wipro's performance has not been up to the market expectations. It could have been the reason Wipro's Chief Azim Premji replaced company's joint CEOs recently.

WIPRO reported $1.27 in Q3 of 2011 while Cognizant came close with $1.21 billion revenue. Wipro's revenues were less than expected than 10 per cent increase in its IT services revenues at $1.34 billion in the Q4 of 2010 . TCS's revenue for the same quarter were at $2.14 bn, while that of INFY stood at $1.58 bn. Industry analysts now expect Cognizant to declare its Q4 2010 revenues to see how true their predictions are.
