Wondering if Apple will ever release a 32" iMac. I had my hopes high a few months ago when there were rumours that Apple is designing a bigger-screen Mac with M1 processor; but then they launched the Studio. :-/

I've been using 27" iMac for over a decade now and the machine still runs strong. I only upgraded the RAM once, and that's it. It doesn't get MacOS updates anymore, but runs all the programming tools I throw at it.

I'm sure there are several users like me who want to upgrade; but don't want to switch to the Mac Studio. All we want is a good all-in-one machine that has bigger screen and latest hardware.

    Is Apple listening?

Apple doesn't have to make another iMac. IMHO they lost their innovation edge after Steve Jobs passed away. All the products they've launched in the last decade are slight innovations of the existing products. Studio ain't any different either.

32" ain't coming anytime. You can build your own iMac with a Mac mini and their 27" stand-alone display.

Frankly speaking, I've lost all hopes from Apple that they'll make a 32" iMac. Given the line of products they've launched in recent times, a 32" iMac does not make any sense. Take a look -

    • Mac Studio
    • Mac Studio Display - 27"
    • Mac M2 Mini
    • iMac 24"

I think Apple's covered most of their potential target audience, leaving the us, the minority, to look for 32" displays from Samsung, LG, Dell and others.

I'm thinking of building up my own dream setup with Mac M2 Mini + Dell Ultrasharp Or Samsung Viewfinity S9 monitor.
