What Is Seed Capital?

In TIEcon, I got a chance to hear some famous entrepreneurs who were notoriously dull and boring. When they were explaining about capital funding, I was on the verge of sleeping. Anyways, I missed the things which they shared with other sleep deprived audience.

Seed capital is the capital required to 'start' a business. For example if you are starting an internet based business, you'd need seed capital for :-

1. Computer
2. Internet connection
3. Domain registration + hosting charges
4. Other miscellaneous charges to get the site up and running.
