Use of hot mirrors in solar panel

I recently read an article about hot mirrors that hot mirrors are used to reflect infrared rays(heat) and transmit visible light. Can we use hot mirrors in concentrated photovoltaics?
The focussed beam of sun can be transmitted to solar panel and the heat can be reflected. Thus solar panel efficiency is increased by reducing temperature of panel. Is it possible?
