    True! People expect that 'because you're an engineer', you can fix anything! I've helped people with turning on their laptops and phones to tuning TV sets.

    But it turned out that most of the times, it was more 'common sense' than 'technical knowledge' that helped.

    "Common Sense' is not all that common. Engineers may have an edge on that.
