Samsung Unveils Galaxy XCore 4 With 13 MP Camera That Clicks Better Pictures In Outdoor Setting

Samsung Newsroom, Deutschland, has recently unveiled their newest smartphone - Galaxy Xcover 4. The device is the successor of previous model Xcover 3 and has been specifically made for outdoor usage. It has been designed to tackle harsh environmental conditions and to resist extreme impact and dust. It will be available for sale from April, 2017 and will cost around 259 Euros.

The smartphone has a 4.99 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It supports IP 68 certification and thus provides protection against both water and dust. It is further certified to US military standard MIL-STD 810 G which allows the device to sustain harsh temperature condition, pressure as well as shock and vibration.

The phone further provides protection against intense sunlight, salt water mist and hence is a perfect smartphone for outdoor use.

Not to forget the touch screen, which is very much responsive even if the user’s hands are inside gloves. The device even has mechanical keys below the display which allows the user to access the device if the touch screen somehow fails to respond.

The device has a nice blend of good quality front and rear camera that allows capturing detailed images even under low light. It has a 13 MP primary camera with an F 1.9 aperture and a secondary shooter camera of 5 MP specification.

It has a 1.4 GHz Quad Core Exynos 7570 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory is restricted up to 16 GB which can be extended up to 256 GB on micro SD. The phone has a single SIM slot with no 4G functionality. However, it has all the other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC etc. which are also common to its predecessors. Proximity and accelerometer are the major sensors present in this device. It also comes with an ambient light sensor which helps in luminosity measurement. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and will be powered by a 2,800 mAh rechargeable battery.

Hence, Galaxy Xcover 4 is a device meant completely for a different section of users. Professional hikers and mountaineers will be its best target audience. However, it can also stand as a suitable preference for people looking for phones with smart features, decent hardware, durability and better longevity.
